FIT Family
New at NAFA: Fencing Fun for the Whole Family!
Three and four year olds, along with Mom or Dad, can now get into the act and swash till they buckle in this one-of-a-kind program developed specifically with the unique needs of pre-schoolers in mind.
In our forty-five minute, weekly class, parents will use tactics developed by fencing to enrich their child’s key milestones, including balance, agility, hand-eye coordination, mindfulness, and long-term strategic thinking.
Our engaging and interactive program is specifically designed for parents and caregivers (Nannies welcome!) who want to enhance their understanding and support of their child’s development in a FIT, fun, intimate, and educational context.
Lael Laderman, a Master’s candidate in Child Psychology, along with NAFA co-founder Larissa Gonzales have combined their over 14 years of experience teaching young people to create a product celebrating the inherent, mutual joy to be found in the caregiver-child bond.
Which can – sometimes – best be expressed by a four year old whacking their adult with a foam sword.
